About the Garden Valley Bible Church Student Ministry
Our Student Ministry is a ministry of Garden Valley Bible Church. That might sound obvious, but we want to emphasize that we believe in the unity of the body of Christ; individual ministries in a church are not unrelated, non-connected entities. We strive to maintain a ministry that is supportive of families and evident in its presence in the main church body.
We are dedicated to providing leadership and an environment where our identity in Christ is made evident. For any of us, motivation for all we do should be grounded in who we are in Christ; and with that central focus we study Scripture, we worship in Spirit and truth, we feel concern for the lost and for each other, and we lift each other in prayer and encouragement. We believe that the Christian life isn't one of just appearances and external behaviors, but a life that reflects exactly what we are ... new creations in Christ.

Mike was born in Bakersfield, CA, and moved to Oregon in his mid-twenties to attend (and graduate from) Multnomah Bible College and Multnomah Biblical Seminary. Even though he was forty, he got to Texas as fast as he could. When not busy with student ministry he can typically be found spending time with his wife Nikki, his two year old daughter Stephanie, or watching baseball or John Wayne.
Pam brings a ministering heart and administrative talents to our student ministry. Her creativity, wisdom, and ministry experience make her contributions extremely valuable. Pam lives in the Lindale area with her husband Glen (worship leader at GVBC), and son Scotty (who is active in our student ministry).
